Our Ministry & Faith
The faith behind our care
Whitestone Health is a Christ-centered alliance. Our members are united by faith in Jesus Christ and a conviction that every person is created in the image of God, carrying inherent dignity and worthy of compassionate, whole-person care.
Our mission
Compassionate, excellent, Christ-centered care.
Our mission is to make compassionate, excellent, Christ-centered healthcare easier to find and easier to trust. We care for the whole person, body, mind, and spirit, and we serve our neighbors the way we are called to: with humility, honesty, and love.
What we believe
Our statement of faith
Our member providers are united by faith in Jesus Christ. Together we affirm the following tenets of faith.
The One True God
We believe in the singularity of the One True God, who exists eternally as the Creator, Sustainer, and Ruler of all things.
God is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent. He was, is, and ever will be, reigning in perfect justice, mercy, and love.
Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.Deuteronomy 6:4
The Triunity of God
We believe in the Holy Trinity: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. These three are coequal, coeternal, and one in essence.
The Father ordains all things, the Son accomplishes salvation, and the Spirit empowers believers to live in faith and obedience.
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.Matthew 28:19
Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, who is one with the Father and through whom salvation is made possible.
Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as atonement for our sins, and rose from the dead, defeating sin and death.
Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”John 14:6
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit, who empowers believers to live according to God’s will and convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment.
The Spirit provides spiritual gifts for the edification of the Church and guides believers into all truth.
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.John 14:26
The Authority of Scripture
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God, revealing His nature, will, and plan for humanity.
Scripture is sufficient for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness.
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.2 Timothy 3:16
Humanity and Sin
We believe all humanity is created in the image of God, but all have sinned and fall short of His glory.
The penalty for sin is eternal separation from God, but through Jesus Christ, reconciliation and eternal life are freely offered.
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.Romans 3:23
Salvation and Eternal Life
We believe salvation is a gift of grace, received by faith in Jesus Christ, and not by works.
Those who repent of their sins and confess Jesus as Lord are justified, adopted into God’s family, and assured of eternal life.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.Ephesians 2:8
The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all believers united by faith in Jesus.
The Church exists to glorify God, make disciples, and demonstrate His love to the world.
Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.1 Corinthians 12:27
The Return of Christ
We believe in the personal and visible return of Jesus Christ to judge the living and the dead and establish His eternal Kingdom.
Believers will dwell with God forever, while those who reject Him will face eternal separation.
For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God.1 Thessalonians 4:16
Christian Living
We believe that believers are called to live lives of holiness, love, and obedience to God’s commands.
The greatest commandment is to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength and to love our neighbors as ourselves.
And He said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”Matthew 22:37
In practice
How faith shapes our care
Across the alliance, our faith shows up less in words and more in the way we practice: patience, honesty, and genuine attention to the whole person.
- We treat every patient with dignity, as a person made in the image of God.
- We care for the whole person: body, mind, and spirit.
- We serve our community with compassion and humility.
Everyone is welcome
Our faith motivates how we serve, but it never limits who we serve. Patients of every background, belief, and walk of life are welcomed and cared for across the alliance.
